Chapter 2: Domestic Frieze explores moments when the bodies of the mother and child simultaneously merge and fragment. Using in-camera and in-situ methods, bodies are visually collaged through costumes, lighting techniques, and temporary walls, creating an unstable environment. These strategies address the bewildering perceptions of selfhood and subjectivity between mother and child. Large-scale sculptures composed of intersecting black acrylic forms contrast with the photographic images. Through the repetition and mirroring of forms, the sculptures extend the visual language into three-dimensional space, foregrounding concepts of physical connection and touch between bodies.
