Pieces of Me Pieces of You
In Pieces of Me Pieces of You, forms are further fragmented. Instead of building toward something solid, the collages, even in moments of coalescence, emphasize states of fragmentation. A feeling of suspension pervades the work. Unlike previous projects, the body here is merely suggested, and when it does appear, it is out of bounds—merging, morphing, and constantly reshaping itself. This fractured space has its own logic and beauty, but it also conveys a profound sense of uncertainty.
The process of reinterpreting my photographic work first into collages and then into sculptures has become a generative method. While the final large-scale works resemble sculptures, I consider them photographic objects. The interplay between two-dimensional and three-dimensional space is a central focus of this work and forms the foundation of my formal investigations.
